Don’t know about you, but it seems like every day there’s something new to worry about and it’s impossible to keep up with the latest potential apocalypse. And I have to think that’s by design. A population fighting amongst themselves and worried about the next thing coming doesn’t have the bandwidth to see what the other hand is doing. The feeds are filled with politicians just looking for their 30 second “gotcha” clip instead of caring about the ones that elected them.

I know so many of us are struggling and just living day to day, and that takes a toll. To be honest, I’ve considered shutting down the business a few times in the past several months, but the stubborn part of me wants to make it to at least 10 years. It’s hard to make/sell art when you feel like the world is on fire and walls are closing in.

I was able to help preserve a memory for a family who lost their very young son. This piece was made from a video of him laughing, and even though I can’t imagine the sadness that comes with this piece, I’m thankful to help keep a beautiful memory front and center for them.
